Acnowledgements

Creating this index would have been a lot more difficult without the website HowardWorks.com. If you're looking for a more in-depth bibliography with extensive details on periodicals and rare publications, look no further. Leon Nielsen's A Collector's Descriptive Bibliography was also immensely helpful.

Recommended

The Del Rey collections use Howard’s original typescripts wherever possible, and are usually accompanied by a lively appendix of unfinished drafts, alternate versions, and commentary from noted Howard scholars.

The Robert E. Howard Foundation publishes several excellent collections of hard-to find Howard material. Their books are expertly assembled and beautifully designed, but are done in small print runs so availability is limited.
